“The PNG Media Awards are about recognizing the efforts of our media personnel for the past year. But it is also an opportunity for us to see what our media organisations believe are the best of their work from the past year.
“It also gives us an indication of where we are as a level of performance, and a collective acknowledgement of what all can aim to achieve, and develop over the next 12 months.
“The awards are more than just a one-evening event. It shows our media personnel that their efforts in the roles they perform in our sector, are appreciated.”
The received nominations are undergoing review and assessment by a judging panel comprising experienced representatives from the media sector, journalism training schools, and a judge representing the public audience.
Results of all the nominations and the best for each award will be made known next Saturday evening at the Awards Night.
