THE MCPNG successfully hosted its first Media Networking Event for the year on June 15th at the Stanley Hotel.
THE MCPNG's Women In Media movement is gaining momentum with MCPNG Secretary and Project Lead, Belinda Kora and a team from the Media Development Initiative, meeting with women journalists in Madang and Port Moresby to provide more information on the initiative.
The Media Council of Papua New Guinea's signature public information and issue discussion platform, the PNG National Press Club, has made a successful return to the national media information scene.

A 2023 World Press Freedom Day Breakfast event hosted by the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Papua New Guinea and the Media Council of Papua New Guinea, and supported by ABC International Development, has highlighted the important role media freedom carries as the main driver of all other basic human rights.
